The WTNS is a stock stainless steel hand washing trough supplied ready-drilled with a single 35mm tap hole per user, making it a straightforward choice for installations using single-hole taps. Available in eight standard lengths for 1–4 users, it is ideal for schools, commercial washrooms, workplaces, factories and other high-use environments.
Manufactured in one piece from 1.2mm thick Grade 304 stainless steel, each trough includes a central 38mm waste fitting and integral wall-fixing brackets. All standard sizes are held in stock for fast UK delivery.
For projects requiring different tap-hole sizes or configurations, including separate hot and cold taps, our WTN stainless steel wash trough can be drilled to your specification.

Tap Holes
WTNS wash troughs are supplied as standard with a single 35mm tap hole per user, allowing them to be used with a wide range of single-hole taps, including push-button, sensor and monobloc mixer taps.
The pre-drilled configuration provides a convenient stock solution where bespoke tap-hole drilling is not required.

DfE & BS EN 14296 Compliance
The WTNS wash trough is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 14296:2015+A1:2018 – Sanitary appliances – Communal washing troughs and is suitable for installation in schools, colleges and other educational facilities.
The trough is designed to form part of a Department for Education (DfE) compliant washroom installation, incorporating an integral rear upstand and allowing for contractor-supplied wall finishes, splashbacks, concealed services and access panels where required by the project specification.
Overall compliance with the Department for Education School Output Specification is achieved through the completed washroom installation.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean stainless steel regularly using warm soapy water or a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, chloride-based cleaners, steel wool and other aggressive or abrasive cleaning products that may cause staining or damage to the stainless steel surface.

We stock eight lengths: 500mm, 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2000mm, and 2400mm, covering between one and four simultaneous users.
The trough is 149mm deep, with an additional 39mm splashback to help contain water splash.
Yes, it includes a 38mm central plastic flush-grated waste and built-in wall-mount fixing brackets. An optional 38mm chrome plated brass waste fitting with stainless steel dome grating is available as an option.
WTNS wash troughs are supplied as standard with a single 35mm tap hole per user. These tap holes will suit all single taps from single press button taps up to and including sensor and mixer taps.
If you require different tap holes our alternative model WTN wash trough is available from stock. We are able to drill these wash troughs to suit your individual requirements. This usually takes us one working day, so still available very quickly.
Optional stainless steel front support legs are available in 950mm or 600mm heights to provide extra stability. Both sizes can be easily cut down on site to enable you to fit at your own desired height.

We offer a 30-day return policy for standard stock purchase wash troughs only. Non standard and customised tap hole wash troughs are not eligible for return. To be eligible for a return, items must be agreed before return, in A1 condition, in their original packaging, and unused. Returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee, which helps cover the cost of outward carriage, card processing fees, and other administrative expenses. Please note that the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. Full return information is attached to your original invoice and in our online terms and conditions. Non stock items and customised items are not eligible for return.
