Description
Compact Stainless Steel Hand Washing Trough – 325mm Projection
Product Code CWT
The CWT compact stainless steel wash trough is a space-saving communal handwashing solution designed for washrooms where available space or front-to-back projection is limited. With a narrow 325mm projection, it takes up less room than a conventional wash trough while still providing multiple handwashing positions in a single wall-mounted unit.
Available in five standard lengths from 1200mm to 2400mm, the CWT is manufactured from 1.2mm thick stainless steel with a satin finish. Its compact dimensions also make it suitable for nursery and children's washrooms where the shorter projection provides easier access to the taps. The number of users and tap holes can be configured to suit individual project requirements.

Sizes & Number of Users
- 1200mm
- 1500mm
- 1800mm
- 2100mm
- 2400mm
Projection: 325mm front to back
Bowl depth: 150mm
The narrow 325mm projection makes the CWT particularly suitable where a standard-depth wash trough would project too far into the available washroom space.
The number of user positions can be selected to suit the individual installation. Where the CWT is used in nursery or early-years washrooms, closer tap spacing may be specified, with some installations using approximately 300mm per child.
Select the required number of users and tap-hole configuration when ordering, or contact us if you require help specifying the most suitable arrangement.
Tap Hole Options
The CWT compact wash trough is drilled to suit your selected number of users and chosen tap configuration.
Available standard options include:
- One pair of 22mm tap holes per user for separate hot and cold taps.
- Single 22mm tap hole per user for cold or pre-mixed water taps.
- Single 35mm tap hole per user for monobloc mixer taps.
- Special tap-hole requirements can be accommodated – select Special Requirements where available or contact us to confirm the specification.
This flexibility allows the same compact trough to be configured for different commercial, educational and children's washroom applications.
Compact 325mm Projection
At only 325mm front to back, the CWT provides a significantly reduced projection compared with conventional commercial wash troughs.
The narrow profile can be particularly useful in smaller washrooms, corridors, changing areas and other installations where maintaining usable floor and circulation space is important.
The reduced projection also shortens the reach to the taps, making the CWT suitable for nursery schools, pre-schools and other environments used by younger children.

The CWT compact wash trough is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 14296:2015+A1:2018 – Sanitary appliances – Communal washing troughs and is suitable for installation in schools, nurseries, colleges and other educational facilities.
Where used in an educational washroom, the trough is designed to form part of a Department for Education (DfE) compliant installation and should be installed at an appropriate height for the intended age group, alongside contractor-supplied wall finishes, splashbacks, concealed services and access panels where required by the project specification.
The number and spacing of user positions should be selected to suit the intended users and project requirements. Overall compliance with the Department for Education School Output Specification is achieved through the completed washroom installation.
