The H-DUH is our current-generation 1000mm stainless steel DUH sluice sink, combining a wall-mounted sluice disposal bowl with an integral drainer/work surface. Featuring an improved flush pipe connection design for easier installation, standard configurations are held in UK stock for fast delivery, typically within 1–2 working days.

Designed for hospitals, care homes, nursing homes and other healthcare environments, the H-DUH provides the hygienic waste disposal function of a sluice sink or slop hopper together with additional stainless steel working and draining space.

Manufactured from high-quality Grade 304 stainless steel, the unit provides a durable and easy-to-clean solution for demanding sluice rooms and dirty utility rooms.

The H-DUH is manufactured to meet the relevant requirements of HBN 00-10 Part C: Sanitary Assemblies, which superseded the former HTM 64 guidance.

What Is a DUH Sluice Sink?

A DUH is a wall-mounted sluice disposal unit with an integral drainer/work surface.

Unlike a standard DU sluice sink, which provides a compact disposal bowl within an approximately 600mm-wide unit, the DUH extends the stainless steel top to provide additional working and draining space.

The H-DUH measures 1000mm x 600mm and is available with the sluice bowl positioned at either end of the unit, allowing the handing to be selected to suit the room layout and existing services.

If you require a separate sink bowl as well as the sluice disposal bowl and drainer, a DUHS combined sluice unit should be considered instead.

Left-Hand or Right-Hand DUH Sluice Sink?

The H-DUH is available in two handed configurations, allowing the position of the sluice bowl and drainer to suit the room layout.

Left-hand sluice: the sluice disposal bowl is positioned on the left, with the drainer/work surface to the right when viewed from the front.

Right-hand sluice: the sluice disposal bowl is positioned on the right, with the drainer/work surface to the left when viewed from the front.

Check the required handing, existing plumbing positions and available space before ordering.

Top Entry or Back Entry Flush Pipe Connection?

The H-DUH is available with either a top entry or back entry flush pipe connection.

Top Entry

Choose Top Entry when the cistern will be exposed and surface mounted on the wall above the sluice sink.

The top entry H-DUH is supplied with a 500mm stainless steel flush pipe for connection to a suitable exposed cistern.

Back Entry

Choose Back Entry where the flushing cistern will be concealed within a service duct or behind the wall.

The flush connection enters the sluice sink from behind, allowing the cistern and associated pipework to remain concealed.

Cistern Options

The H-DUH can be supplied with a choice of flushing cisterns to suit exposed or concealed installations:

Stainless steel exposed manual cistern with operating lever.
Plastic exposed cistern complete with flush pipe and operating lever.
Plastic concealed cistern complete with flush pipe and operating lever.

Waste Connection & Trap

The H-DUH has a 100mm plain spigot waste outlet for connection to a suitable waste trap and drainage system.

Choose a DU sluice sink where you require a compact wall-mounted disposal unit without an extended work surface.

Choose a DUH sluice sink where you require the same type of flushing disposal bowl but also need additional stainless steel drainer/work surface alongside it.

If you require a separate sink bowl in addition to the sluice disposal bowl and drainer, consider a DUHS combined sluice sink, sink bowl and drainer.

Delivery

Standard H-DUH configurations, including left- and right-hand and top- and back-entry variants, are held in UK stock for fast delivery, typically within 1–2 working days.

The unit is delivered securely on a pallet to help protect the stainless steel sluice sink during transport.
