Designed for demanding healthcare environments, this wall-mounted stainless steel sluice sink, also known as a slop hopper or hospital disposal unit, provides a hygienic and durable solution for the safe disposal of body waste and the contents of items such as bedpans, urine bottles and vomit bowls.

Manufactured from high-quality Grade 304 stainless steel, the H-DU is suitable for hospitals, care homes, nursing homes and other healthcare environments where durability, ease of cleaning and reliable operation are essential.

Manufactured to meet the relevant requirements of HBN 00-10 Part C: Sanitary Assemblies, which superseded the former HTM 64 guidance, the H-DU combines robust stainless steel construction with a full flushing rim for effective flushing and hygienic operation.

Top Entry or Back Entry Flush Pipe Connection?

The H-DU is available with either a top entry or back entry flush pipe connection, allowing the sluice sink to be selected to suit exposed or concealed cistern installations.

Top Entry

Choose Top Entry when the cistern will be surface mounted and visible on the wall above the sluice sink.

The top entry version is designed for use with an exposed cistern and includes a 500mm stainless steel flush pipe.

Back Entry

Choose Back Entry when the cistern will be concealed within a service duct or behind the wall.

The flushing connection enters the sluice sink from behind, allowing the cistern and associated pipework to remain concealed.

The H-DU sluice sink can be supplied with a choice of cisterns to suit your installation requirements.

The H-DU has a 100mm plain spigot waste outlet for connection to a suitable waste trap and drainage system.

P Trap: for a horizontal waste connection.

S Trap: for a vertical waste connection.

Optional Extras

Depending on your installation, the H-DU can be specified with optional equipment including:

• Front support legs
• P trap or S trap
• Grid
• Monobloc two-lever hot and cold mixer tap
• Exposed or concealed cistern options

Please note that the mixer tap option cannot be supplied when a grid is specified.
