The Elite stainless steel wash trough is a premium communal handwashing trough designed for projects where appearance, durability and a high-quality finish are equally important. Its distinctive shallow-profile design provides a more refined alternative to conventional commercial wash troughs, making it particularly suitable for modern schools, offices, public buildings and front-of-house washrooms.

Manufactured in one piece from 1.6mm thick stainless steel, the Elite offers a heavier construction than our standard wash trough ranges. It is available in three standard lengths for 2–4 users, with tap holes drilled to your specification and a central 38mm flush-grated waste fitting. The Elite is a registered design.

The shallow 111mm trough profile gives the Elite a noticeably different appearance from deeper conventional wash troughs and makes it particularly suited to installations where a more contemporary, streamlined finish is required.

Tap Hole Options

The Elite wash trough is drilled to suit your chosen tap configuration. Please select the required option when ordering.

Available standard options include:

• One pair of 22mm tap holes per user for separate hot and cold taps.
• Single 22mm tap hole per user for cold or pre-mixed water taps.
• Single 35mm tap hole per user for monobloc mixer taps.
• Special tap-hole requirements can be accommodated – select Special Requirements and we will contact you to confirm the specification.

This flexibility allows the Elite to be specified with a wide range of commercial tap styles to complement the finished washroom design.

Premium Shallow-Profile Design

The Elite has been developed for projects where a standard commercial trough may appear too utilitarian.

Its one-piece construction, shallow 111mm profile and clean stainless steel finish create a more contemporary appearance while retaining the durability and practicality required from a commercial communal wash trough.

The heavier 1.6mm stainless steel construction also differentiates the Elite from our standard trough ranges, making it particularly suitable for high-use installations where both appearance and robust construction are important.

DfE & BS EN 14296 Compliance

The Elite wash trough is suitable for communal handwashing installations in schools, colleges and other educational facilities.

Where installed as part of an educational washroom, the completed installation should be designed to meet the relevant Department for Education (DfE) requirements, including appropriate installation height, wall finishes, splashbacks, concealed services and access arrangements where required by the project specification.

Overall compliance with the Department for Education School Output Specification is achieved through the completed washroom installation.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean stainless steel regularly using warm soapy water or a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, chloride-based cleaners, steel wool and other aggressive or abrasive cleaning products that may cause staining or damage to the stainless steel surface.
