Designed for emergency eyewash equipment installations, the MiniBREAK MB1-38M-S provides compliant Fluid Category 5 (CAT5) backflow protection where direct mains connection is not permitted.

This compact packaged break tank and booster system uses a Type AB air gap to help protect the potable water supply from contamination risks associated with eyewash stations, laboratory environments and industrial wash applications.

Supplied as a complete enclosed unit, the MiniBREAK is suitable for both wall and floor mounting and offers a simple solution for installations requiring CAT5 compliance under the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

Emergency eye/face wash equipment installed to ANSI Z358.1 guidelines is typically required to deliver a minimum flow rate of 12 litres per minute for a continuous 15-minute flushing period. The MiniBREAK is capable of delivering flow rates of up to 24 litres per minute (0.4 l/s) depending on operating pressure, making it suitable for supplying ANSI-compliant eye/face wash equipment while also providing CAT5 backflow protection via its integrated Type AB air gap break tank arrangement. What is CAT5 Protection?
